The best sleep

A really great last night in camp. I had the place to myself and didn’t really do anything. It rained over night and being in a warm dry tent whilst hearing the rain outside made sleeping easy.

I’m looking forward to the final walk today. I do want this to end and I do want my luxuries back, but at the same time I think it’ll all be rather strange and it’d be nice to turn round and do it over again.

I’m not sure what the views will be like today.

The sea - at last

Sometimes being slow is better

Finally made it to Robin Hood’s Bay. Pretty dreary weather all day and suddenly the sun came out for the final couple of miles. If I was quicker I would have missed it.

So, all done a dusted. Met up with my Uncle John for a bit which was really nice and then Jenny met me with some lunch just outside the bay. So all pretty perfect.

Boot dipped and stone returned to the sea. What to do next?
