I was really nervous in the morning. Not sure what of but nervous nevertheless. I felt like I shouldn’t be doing the walk I think so was looking for the catch.
Probably set off a bit later than I should have but got going by about 11:30. It’s a great view along the coast but strange that the initially heading is west.
Takes longer than you think before eventually turning inland. I managed to get lost a few times but not too badly.
The hardest part of the day (except the 17 miles) is Dent (Dents?) Hill. As a guy I shared a campsite with said – “it’s not just a bump”. Met a few people there, which was great, but I was starting to worry about the time. I need to stop that though as it was all fine.
I ended up finding the campsite easily although I was jealous when I walked past a pub with a tent pitched when I still had 2 miles to go.
I don’t like selfies – I’m not really how I’d like to look.
As I’m writing this I know what happened on Day 2. That’s was tougher than I expected.
